Flighty

This project was focused on cultivating my craft. Flighty displays custom artwork for every airline and corresponding plane type based on a given flight. I was given an opportunity to contribute a few airline liveries to their growing list.

How I Got This Opportunity

As I was using the app when traveling in Europe, I saw some of the plane art was blank. The Flighty team is renowned for their level of craft and detail so I reached out and offered to make a few aircraft designs.

I'd never touched Photoshop before as I swore I would never support Adobe, but I wanted to learn from the best. The team sent me a few airlines they wanted art for, so I learned Photoshop over a single weekend and started designing tail curves, engine paint, window treatments, and so much more.

Outcome

Most of the designs I submitted were never used. Their threshold for the art was at such a high level. I was in pure awe of the details and depth of feedback I received.
